Dear
Fellow IWOGC Members,
“Shining
Stars, Past, Present & Future”. This is not only the
theme for our present year, but it’s also the theme for
the Ohio State Education meeting fast approaching. This is your
opportunity to shine bright for our organization. If you have
never attended this event, please plan to do so. You will come
away from it with a new understanding of the Ohio State Council
and also have the advantage of hearing a world-renowned speaker.
The committee has been diligently working behind the scenes to
make this event one to remember with memories you will hold onto
for a lifetime. Please contact Debbie Ebbing, 513-870-2000 Ext.
4664 or debbi_ebbing@cinfin.com,
if you have any questions about the State Education Meeting.
Mary Kenyon, Debbie Ebbing, Hope Frost, Teresa Flenner, Barbara
Benson & I were all able to attend the Region IV Conference
in Akron this past March. Hope competed in the Confidence While
Communicating speak off and even though she did not place we are
very proud of her for representing IWOGC in this competition.
You will find more in the delegates report further in this newsletter.
It’s hard to believe that this term is coming close to the
end. Our Immediate Past President, Susan Necessary, has been working
on getting members who have a desire to know and understand the
structure of IWOGC to step up and volunteer for an opening on
a committee. Please contact her if you would like to know what
is open and how you can be a part of this organization. We are
always looking for people who would like to assist in other areas,
so if you find you have a desire to help, please contact Susan
at susan_necessary@cinfin.com
or any of our board or committee members. A list of board and
committee members and their contact information can be found on
our organization’s Web site at www.iwogc.org.
The national convention for NAIW will be Washington D.C. in June.
Mary Kenyon and I and hopefully a few others will be representing
IWOGC. The opportunity to see how NAIW International works on
a level such as this is truly dynamic. Expect to hear great things
in reports to follow.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Ohio State meeting.
In Fellowship,
Susan Friedrich, CC, CL
President – 2009-2010
